PAROS AIRPORT (PAS) INFORMATION

Part of the Cyclades, the Greek Island of Paros has had a fully operational airport since 1982. Lately undergoing dramatic upgrades and changes, Paros National Airport (IATA code PAS, ICAO code LGPA) is expected to welcome far greater international air traffic than it saw before 2017, when only domestic flights reached Paros.

The airport consists of one terminal building, located at 37º01'15”N 25º06'47”E at 84400 Aliki, and one fire station, one runway and one tower. In November 2020 Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority announced that 43 million Euros had been secured for a total upgrade, to be completed by 2023.

A new tower and access roads, expansion of the runway and better terminal are part of this upgrade. There will be a selection of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, Duty Free shopping and better airport security for passenger and cargo control and modern luggage management.

Paros Airport is located 10 km from the town of Parikias, which can be reached by taxi or bus, in about 30 minutes.

Buses at Paros Airport

During summer, which runs from May to mid-October, buses leave from the front of the terminal for the bus station in central Parikia via Pounda-Voutakos. The timing of buses and flights is exact and in the summer buses also include Naousa. For further information: Ktel Buses tel +30 22840 21395.  Tourist tickets allow guests to see the whole island for just 9.00 Euros per person.

Paros Airport Taxis

The taxi rank is just outside the terminal, by the main entrance/exit. Airport transfers and private taxis cost around 20.00 Euros to/from Parikia.

Paros Port Ferries

Blue Star Ferries are the main ferry operators in Greece, offering some 20 destinations, including the Paros to Piraeus route. Economy tickets start from just 20.00 Euros per person. Tickets are available in Parikia from Erkyna Travel (tel +30 22840 23112) and Meltemi Travel (tel +30 22840 21242).
