Paros National Airport Transfers

Greece's Cyclades are a major tourist draw in summer, when even the smallest of airports see lots of passengers. Airlines Olympic Air, Aegean, Sky Express and Astra Airlines fly to and from Paros National Airport. Ferry operator Blue Star Ferries links Paros Island with Piraeus and Athens, and smaller ferries provide guests with easy boat tours and connections to islands like Mykonos.

Getting to and from Paros Airport

Arriving passengers can rent a car at Paros Airport from a range of well-known local and international brands. There's parking for 70 cars at the single terminal.

Bus rides into the capital city Parikia take 30 minutes. The main season runs from May to mid-October, and during that time bus rides are scheduled around flight arrivals and departures. Buses also connect Paros Airport with Naoussa in peak season. Buses are operated by Ktel Buses, tel: +30 22840 21395, a company that links all major villages and towns on Paros.

Bus schedules can be downloaded from Ktel's website. The Parikia to Paros Airport bus schedule provides for three services in off-peak season: 07.10, 08.45 and 12.10, with only the 09.05 service running passengers from the airport to Parikia.

Boat rental is widely available on Cyclades' shores, including boat hire on Paros. Hiring a boat for a day starts from around USD 160.00/Euro 133.00 off-season. Taking the Blue Star Ferry from Piraeus on a Super Economy Ticket day costs around Euros 20.00 per person.

Taxis drop off and collect right outside the terminal's main entrance/exit at Paros Airport. Many hotels, even small B & Bs, offer free or reduced cost shuttle transfers between Paros Airport and the holiday accommodation. Booking Paros Airport taxis in advance is convenient, often cheaper than hiring one on the day in Parikias city center.

A regular ride from Paros Airport to Parikia costs ca. Euro 20.00 and takes 18 minutes. Marpissa is just 26 minutes away; Naoussa a 27-minute ride.
