Tourist Attractions on Paros, Greece
The Cycladen are one of Greece's treasures that have long tempted a very special type of visitor: culture, cuisine and island life are the great attractions here. If you like to relax on golden beaches, Paros is the place for you, but if you fancy a culture-packed first taste of Greece, the Cyclades are a great place to start:
Limited to 10 participants, the tour starts at a leisurely 9.10 am from Port Piso Livadi. Located in the middle of the Small Eastern Cyclades archipelago, just south of Naxos and north-east of Iraklia, the Schinoussa is well worth a visit. Hora, Mesaria and Mersini are the three main villages. Tour allows you time to swim, snorkel and taste great food.
This 9-hour boat tour starts also from Paros, this time for Delos and Mykonos, two of Greece's most important archaeological sites. Dating at least 3,000 years back in time, the monuments and ruins you see are typical for Ancient Greece. Tour includes 3 hours of free time and starts from Paros at 9.15 am.
Full Day Cyclades Island Hopping
Start from Port Piso Livadi on this 10-hour tour that explores the Cyclades surrounding Paros. You'll get time to sample not just the beautiful beaches, but also the cuisine and wine of this stunning island world.
The 11-our tour from Port Piso Livadi takes visitors to the Island of Santorini, believed to be the legendary Atlantis. Almost destroyed by an exploding volcano, the island today is one of Greece's most beautiful, with breathtaking views of the volcano's caldera and what probably survived the biggest-known tsunami in history, the villages Oia and Fira. Passengers need to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to boat departure.
Luc Besson's movie “The Big Blue” was reputedly filmed on Amorgos, an island forming the southernmost point of the Cyclades. Chora of Amorgos is the archipelago's most charming village and famous for its cuisine and wine. The 11th century Monastery of Hozoviotissa perches high on a rock.
